Bottom Line
-Excellent/very helpful for those needing additional know-how on doing research with human data. This essentially gives you a blueprint for doing research.
-A must have for any student doing a senior thesis project, MPH or early-phase PhD student.
Long version
This is a very useful book for those interested in the practical side of clinical research and epidemiology. The theoretical components are thorough enough without being overly nuanced, which is great because it makes this textbook a fairly easy read (at least relatively speaking). Because of this, the book might not be ideal for those who just learning epidemiology or public health, or for an intro class. But for anyone doing their own research or with an interest in understanding how to actually execute a study, this is an awesome resource. I could also see this being a great resource for those interested in ethical aspects of research, but that's not really my interest so I can't really comment on that.
