About the Author
JOHN J. RUSZKIEWICZ is a professor at the University of Texas at Austin where he has taught literature, rhetoric, and writing for more than thirty years. A winner of the President’s Associates Teaching Excellence Award, he was instrumental in creating the Department of Rhetoric and Writing in 1993 and directed the unit from 2001-05. He has also served as president of the Conference of College Teachers of English (CCTE) of Texas. For Bedford/St. Martin's, he is also the co-author, with Andrea A. Lunsford, of The Presence of Others, Fifth Edition, and Everything's an Argument, Fifth Edition.

Spiral Bound

Saved $30 not buying this book at the university book store. Same exact book, which is a relief, correlating pages and everything. Everything I expected, except that it was spiral bound instead of just a plain bound softcover like the other students have, but like I said, saved $30. GREAT DEAL- will never buy books at the book store again!

This book is only the textbook and DOES NOT include the readings. Amazon does offer the book with the readings for about $10 more. Also, the ISBN number on this book was wrong when I purchased it. I am returning this book to buy the book I actually need.
